Krispy Kreme!!!
Went to Bills for breakfast today, mmmm...nice pancakes that I had, nice american type of breakfast also that Aaron had, the sweet corn fritters were....erm..corney though. Janey was nice enuff to give me a treat for my birthday present. Thanks again Jane!
Walked down to the city to do more shopping. Stopped by Industrie on Oxford to look around abit. Found some nice jackets, but were too big....sigh
We all had to poop next, so stopped for a pooping session at the Marriot. Nothing better than taking a dump on a 5-star hotel. It's like you making a claim on the property, marking it your territory. Ahhh, basic primal instincts.
Made our way furthur down to Market City again, but the Industrie factory outlet there closed...
Pitt Street mall next, even the Industrie outlet there didn't have jackets in my size. Bought a nice pair of jeans though. Parted with $99.95 for them though.
Jane dragged us to Alannah Hill at The Strand. Havn't been to one before, but whoa... the store assistants are gorgeous! And they're dressed in all so flattering period pieces of clothings. I felt as though I was in a speakeasy. I can just imagine throwing a 60s formal party, and all the woman would have to pop down to Alannah Hill to dress up!
Walked over to Marriot at Circullar Quay to collect the car I booked from Avis. Found a new car rental company in Sydney, chanced upon it whilst walking down King's Cross. It's called Bays Water Car Rentals. They looks like a really chic new company with a logo that says "No Birds".... can't figure out why, except maybe the top of the Sydney Skyline and Habour Bridge is filled with birds (or are they bats?). It's much cheaper @ $16/day for 7 days. But they give you 500km/day instead of unlimited miles with Avis. Got a Toyota Corolla Sedan instead of the hatchback I booked. Not as big a jump of an upgrade as some people have gotten, but oh well, one category up is good enough. At least my car has a backside, all the more better to cart my shopping around with =P
Decided to drive over to Penrith for some Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. Ahhhh....Krispy Kreme. Thinking of them just makes me wanna get up, walk to the fridge, nuke one for 8 secs and fill my mouth with soft glazed fried flour. Hmmm...wonder if people would buy glazed yu jia quay in Singapore. Maybe I might just become rich with that idea!
Eh one indication how good they are, is that we left with 5 boxes of the "Objects of desire" as Janey calls them. Each box holds 12 doughnuts. So that's a total of 48 Original Glazed Doughnuts, and 12 of the assorted kind. Man, Doughnut King is now like some shop trying to con people into buying the round stuff they're trying to pass off as doughnuts. Damnit, why do they have outlets only in NSW! Why the hell aren't there any in Singapore in fact!
Oh well, we dreaded the 45min drive from Sydney to Penrith. After biting just once into Kirspy Kreme, our fatigued cringing was replaced immediately with the unanimous sensation of our tastebuds rejoicing. Krispy Kreme is DEFINATELY worth moving to NSW! We were so damn lucky too, we got there just as they started freshly churning out new doughnuts from the oven!
The fact is that words cannot describe how wonderful Krispy Kreme doughnuts are. The closest one I can think of is by Homer Simpson - "Mmmmm.....doughnuts!"
Got all into a sugar rush on the drive back, and was babbling tons of stuff and laughing just about everything that was said. Havn't done that...since long time ago! Think that's as close as "drunk" as I'll ever be in my life, since till now, all I seem to be able to stomach is just 1 bottle of bear =(
Scrapped Jujus again, bought takeaway from Dong Dong's Noodle House in Kingsford again just a stone throw away from Aaron's place.
All through the rest of the night, we were all trying to contain our temptation to reach for yet another glazed Doughnut.
