Back where it's de-rigueur to walk around in thongs

Back in aussieland.

The flight on the rather old, but still fresher looking than my SYD-SIN 747-400, was quite a doosey, managed to watch only 2 movies this time round - 'Shall we Dance' and 'Les Choristes'. Not like I had a nice slection of movies in the first place... Gone are the days when SQ had more than the 'currently showing' crop of movies -(

Was deciding between the frenchie and the thriller, cellular. But am glad I went for some "culture". Les Choristes is about a failed composer that's gone to teach in a school for troubled children, and ends up making a really big difference just by introducing music to the young'uns. Nice music that includes (well, or centres around) a childrens choir too, must find the soundtrack!

Coudldn't get but a few mins of sleep on the plane coz the blinking stewardesses couldn't deciede whether to keep the cabin lights on and off. Lights on, lights off, lights on, flights... /me attempts to disconnect wires
Couldn't get a decent shot out the window this time either, coz when we took off off, it was already 1:30am, and after we left the lit borders of Singapore, it was just pitch black on the other side of the glass save the occassional blink from the plane. The sun seemed to be on my side of the plane for the good deal of the morning part of the flight, so had to keep the blinds down. Well, I attempted to get a shot, but my neighbour was groaning too loudly..

Thank gawd nobody questioned why, in one bag, I had 2 xboxs, 2 harddisks, 3 wireless routers and a DECT phone...eh can anybody say, Cyber-terrorist? =P

So we landed, I dragged all 5 pieces of luggage (never again!) up the cab, off the cab onto the sidewalk, up a flight of stairs, and into the house (phew!). Showered and then left for school. Walked around school settling numerous administrative stuff mostly looking AND acting like a zombie, used the internet in the good'ol labs for awhile since the one back home's still not activated yet, and dragged my sorry carcass back into bed.

Gotta get used to the chilly weather again, since I was wearing an pullover when everybody else was in burms and tees!

Thanks again to all back home that made time for all the dinners, movies, suppers and the outrageous parties!!!
