Will Good Previal?
In today's Amazing Race....
Yay, Adam & Rebecca came in last.
Although in third place was everybody's favourite courple, Kris & Jon. The couple with the least airtime so far, but been able to pull off a long distance lovey dovey appearance. One must ask why I was hoping for Adam & Rebecca to be kicked out.
What could they have done to have garnered such loathe. Maybe they were such poor entertainment...on the contrary, since Jonathan & Victoria got booted out, they're the most bitchy and thus, showy, couple that's left. Was this a clear cut, good vs evil divide or the result of some very clever work in the editing room.
The air-headed, blonde-liness of the 4 couples couldn't be more apparent in the recent episode. With Rebecca commenting how the Tai Chi master looked like her Yoga instructor. For someone in an inter-continental race, she certainly can't distinguish her Hindus from the Taoists. Maybe she's colour deficient. Her positive attitude is, however, most commendable in light of Adam's whiney and consitent "we're gonna lose" mantra.
Kendra managed a feable, "It's so beautiful" complete with blonde smile and slight flirtatious body movements when they came in second. My take? Shanghai's skyline is lined with too many phallic shapes for my taste. Now what exactly would freud say about this, a show of a country's sexuality or lack thereof...
One also questions the choice that Freddy and Kendra to yeild Adam and Rebecca in a most "an eye for an eye" gesture when it would have been more advantageous to have made a tactical move in yeilding a stronger competitor such as favourites, Kris/Jon. Was it a blind rage of revenge or just plain model blondeness? Wouldn't have mattered much I say, since the lousy chink of a taxi driver debacle gave Adam & Rebecca the chance to catch up and meet the other couple eye to eye in the Bricks or Ice detour. Even more so, since this leg was a non-elimination round.
Kudos though, to CBS for finally giving Kris and Jon the airtime deserve and giving us the ubitious "they're neck to neck, who will come in last' jitters.
Good job babes!
