Week 1 - Session 1 - 2006
Had a crazy first day of uni today.
Snoozed my alarm away to kingdom come and was minutes late for the first class of the session. Not a good way to start it off I must say but the class went well. Had a short chat with the the lecturer/my supervisor after the class and we discussed about my topic more.
COMP4511 - User-Interface Design & Construction looks to be a pretty interesting course, going to be programming using Objective-C using Apple's Cocoa platform. They finally upgraded the Quicksilver Powermac G4s to PPC iMacs, sadly not the Intel dual core ones, but possibly we could still build universal binaries using Xcode on these.
Still puzzled over the Objective-C syntax, gotta read about it more and said lecturer assures me it's normal to be daunted at first.
Housemate and I posted notices all around school advertising the room to let and only after I filed a listing with the school's accomodation office did the calls start coming in. Just showed the room to a middle european student, he seems happy with it. Some chinks are coming over now, sigh...possibly doing a 2-in-1 room squeeze, not too happy about that situation.
