Myopia
Dad just called me with the results of the elections, no surprises there.
The surprise was that he asked me if I knew anybody that actually went to Canberra to cast their votes...eh no?
The media here, when not obsessed over the trapped miners and the little girl had a few reports about our small little country. They are surprisingly accurate about us and to quote The Age about CTP: "world's longest-serving political prisoner after Nelson Mandela". The report also ran the numbers on the string of defamation suits brought on by the Lees and another the number of key positions held by the family. It's amazing how astute foreign reporters can be..
What I feel that it's wrong to get the best information about our own country from outside sources, that our own "world reknowned" national newspapers cannot do their jobs. Then again, they did say that a good journalism, is un-biased...
Congratulations?
